Charleston C.A.R.E.S donates to H.O.P.E and L.E.A.R.N horse rescues

C.A.R.E.S met the need within the equine community when a local horse rescue was denied help by the Charleston Animal Society. H.O.P.E. Acres horse rescue and L.E.A.R.N. horse rescue are committed to providing rehabilitation to abused, neglected, abandoned and unwanted horses.

Delighted at the opportunity to help, C.A.R.E.S member companies opened their doors Saturday, July 28th to host both rescues while raising money for their organizations, H.O.P.E. and L.E.A.R.N. The members of C.A.R.E.S set aside $1 per ticket sold at all three member carriage companies. The event raised $2,100 which was split between the two horse rescues to help offset the cost of running their all volunteer organizations.
